Compliance effectiveness, a buzzword in the industry, continues to be a focal point of compliance programs and governmental investigators. There continue to be significant compliance concerns across the healthcare industry as evidenced by ongoing DOJ settlements, new corporate integrity agreements, and other findings and activity. Although many organizations and providers adopt compliance policies and procedures, many organizations neglect to operationalize them fully in their day-to-day operations.
